Today is May 31, 2022. It’s the final day of Mental Awareness Month.
On June 25th the Knoxville Chapter is hosting a fundraiser called “Climb Out the Darkness” sponsored by Postpartum Support Int. It’s their annual event to raise awareness for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, The Climb brings our community together to shine a light on a darkness we often don’t speak about. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are the most common complication of pregnancy and childbirth.
Society is finally allowing a graceful light to be shown on those who experience mood disorders in their postpartum. Which I think has been very positive for most women going through this because it allows us to not feel alone, and also feel validated that there is nothing “wrong” with ourselves.
I hope May has been a wonderful month for all my mamas out there! If not, I am sorry, I’m sending you all the love and support I can muster. If you are feeling blue, here are my top 5 Go-To activities to help bring some light, happiness, and positivity back into perspective:
I hope you find those helpful!
